Valery Krygin, Software Engineer Apostera, conducted a cool computer vision workshop at Belka (KPI). The seminar solved the problem of binocular stereo — restoring the map of depths (heights) from photos from two points. During the workshop, Valery outlined the mathematical background of the solution method, justified the principles of the optimal solution, and developed a program for finding the depth map, exploring the features and extreme cases.
