So I can see that line of thought and absolutely understand the security issue with regard to the file system. With Dapps though we already have a backend right? So the apps don’t need to be developed with access to the system. They need to be able to retrieve keys out of an encrypted memory location and that’s it. The app can maintain its own storage facilities as far as data is concerned so the whole thing can be sandboxed just like web2 browsers are. But we get out of this mode of patching the lack of a front end to an unfamiliar system with a familiar system containing massive security gaps. Of course I can only say you’re right about the mobile apps being a natural fix for the issue as well.
