Kevin Mitnick

Today I can tell you about Kevin Mitnick the world most dangerous hacker:

Kevin Mitnick is a big name in the world of Cybersecurity. His full name was Kevin David Mitnick. The world also know him with the name of “The Condor” and “The Darkside Hacker”. He was born on 06 August 1963 in Van Nuys, California, United States.

Hacking Career:

• His hacking career was started when he was only 13 years old. He hacked the punch card system of Los Angeles bus system by using Social Engineering. When he convinced a bus driver to tell him about in which shop this punch card system is available. He tell the bus driver that he get this punch card system for a school project. He used this technique to ride Las Angeles greater area free in any bus.
• After this Kevin Mitnick gained his first unauthorized access to a computer network when he was only 16 years old. His friend gave him a phone number of a company which works on it’s operating system software. He broke this company computer network and stole it’s software. For this crime he went to the prison for 12 months.
• After this he hacked many companies some of are Nokia, Motorola and IBM etc. Even he can hacked Pentagon and stole it’s top secrets. If you don’t know about Pentagon. So, it is a USA Department Of Defense a military headquarter.

Arrested:

After all of these attacks FBI arrested Kevin Mitnick on February 1995. In 1999 he was sentenced to 46 months in prison plus three years probation. The police put Kevin Mitnick in a different jail. Because according to the Kevin Mitnick the law enforcement officials convinced the judge that “this man has ability to start a nuclear war by whistling into a pay phone”.

Released:

After all this scenario, finally Kevin Mitnick was released on January 2000. But he didn’t used any communication technology other than landline phone. But Kevin Mitnick fought this decision in court and finally the results are in his favor and court allowed him to access the Internet. Now he was a paid security consultant, public speaker and a very good author.

2: The Art Of Intrusion (The real stories behind the exploits of hackers, intruders & deceivers) in 2005.

3: Ghost In The Wires (My adventures as the world’s most wanted hacker) in 2011.

4: The Art Of Invisibility (The world’s most famous hacker teaches you how to be safe in the age of big brother and big data) in 2017.

In these four books three books are on computer security and one book are on his autobiography.

My Opinion:

I write this biography article because, today I want to write something different. Now, I decided that I also write hackers biography articles with my normal hacking articles. I select this man (Kevin Mitnick) first for biography article because this man (Kevin Mitnick) career teaches the hackers a great lesson that how a hacker can do anything by using Social Engineering.
