What is BIOS | Explained
Today we can discuss about the BIOS:
When we turn ON our computer. The computer can perform many functions before display the operating system interface. When the computer getting ON. All the devices connected to the computer are checked first. After this all files are load into these devices or into RAM and then the operating system is start. This is important to the microprocessor to know that all the devices are connected to computer. But if the microprocessor can checked all the devices one by one. So, the booting process becomes slow. To solve this problem the BIOS system is developed.
BIOS:
BIOS stands for Basic Input/Output System. The working process of BIOS is very simple. BIOS check all those devices which are required to the computer to start any operating system and then tells to the microprocessor that are connected with it. In more simple words it perform the function of mediator between the devices and the microprocessor. Suppose if the RAM is not connected to the computer. The computer will not start because all the files are load first into the RAM and then the processor can processed these files.
I can give you the basic example to understand the function of BIOS in more simple words. When we turn ON the switch. The power is supplies to the BIOS to check that all the required devices are connected to the computer. When the BIOS take green signal than the power is supplies to the microprocessor. After this the microprocessor questioned to the BIOS that all the required devices are connected. When the BIOS said that all the required devices are connected than the processor can load all the files in these devices or in bootloader. After all of these process your operating system is start and than you can start doing different work on it.
My Opinion:
My opinion on this topic is this system or software is very useful and it is the wonder development of human being. I hope in the future we can developed more wonderful systems and softwares.
