Three circle overlap to show three things, authenticy, storytelling and consistency.

If you are not good at these three things you can’t build your personal brand.

You have a passion
You have a goal
You have a story
You have a solution
You know your audience
You know your why

But that’s not enough;

I have clients, who want to build their personal brands. They are very passionate about their crafts and why they want to build their personal brand.

But they are not good in these three things;

1. Authenticity
2. Storytelling
3. Consistency

You need these three things if you want people to notice you.

Authenticity:
Everyone has a vulnerable story in life. But they don’t want to share it with others. They just want to talk about the wins wins wins…

When you start sharing your vulnerable story with your audience. You actually relate to them. It doesn’t mean you need to share all your dark secrets.

For example;
I had the lowest CGPA in my business school and it took me one year extra to complete my 4 years bachelor’s degree because I was more focused on building my one-person business.

Everyone has the aha! moment in life we just need to share it with the right audience at the right time.

Storytelling;

People are good at getting attention for 3-sec.

But they are not good at getting attention for 30 minutes.

If you want your audience to engage with your content you need to be a good storyteller.

A good storyteller gets attention with an emotional hook.
A good storyteller creates suspense by not revealing the end result.
A good storyteller talks about the problem and keeps the solution for the end.

Your story must have;

- Emotional hook
- Problems
- Suspense
- Solution

The more your story will be RELATABLE the more you will get engagement.

Consistency:

You want to grow a plant.
You planted a seed in the ground.
You gave it proper sunlight.
You gave it all nutrients.

But you forget to water the plant on a daily basis.
Do you think your plant will grow?

In order to build your personal brand, you need to be consistent.

- Set a content calendar
- Create your contents
- Schedule your contents
- Engage with your audience
- Arrange a live Q&A session
- Understand their problems
- Give them FREE stuff

Most people fail in building personal brands because they don’t want to be authentic, they are not using storytelling techniques and lastly, they are not consistent in their work.
