My journey at Amal Academy began with the excitement of the first day. I had made a commitment to dedicate my weekends for the next three months to embark on this new adventure of learning and forming new habits. I was genuinely passionate and thrilled to start this journey.

The first step of the journey was all about self-discovery. I truly appreciated the way it commenced. It involved deep self-reflection, understanding our values and principles, which offered a unique perspective. While some might dismiss this as childish or unimportant, I firmly believe that it is the most crucial part.

In our busy lives, we often forget to take time to reflect on our daily activities, learn from our past experiences, and understand our purpose. Learning about our goals, both professionally and personally, and the motivations behind them, is often overlooked, especially by students like me. However, these are the essence of life.

Glimpse from first day:)

I learned about the Amal principles, which I found to be principles that everyone should follow: Amal, Khudi, Kam, Kam, Kam, and 1 or 1 Gyara, along with the significance of continuously learning new things.

The journey was enriched with well-prepared lectures, meaningful conversations with mentors, active participation of students, and engaging individual and group activities. The diversity of students and the connections with my fellow participants that Amal Academy provided, outside of the traditional classroom environment, are experiences that I will always cherish.

Throughout this journey, I discovered more about myself, my values, explored my strengths and weaknesses, mapped out my life’s purpose, and developed the characteristics of being a valuable team player.

Some vivid memories are captured in the photos I took during this time. For instance, the images of our first group marshmallow activity outside in the scorching sun, where our group successfully built a tower, are a testament to the great experiences we had.

Even the photos I took of my university, altered to resemble the days at Amal, bring back memories of the atmosphere at GCU. The empty classroom reminds me of the bustling class we had at Amal, filled with students, and the various corners we explored.

This journey has been a significant part of my life, shaping my perspective and helping me grow as an individual. The experiences and knowledge gained during my time at Amal Academy are something I will carry with me throughout my life.
