NYFW Recap Day 2 + What I Wore
Day two of NYFW was one of the least busiest days and it was such a dream! Since I was coming from California, I was fighting a bit of a time change in New York (3 hours). It made waking up at 7am feel like 4am. So, on Saturday I slept in for a little bit and it felt so good!
After getting ready for the day, I met up with some sweet friends of mine for brunch at the Hotel Hayden in Chelsea. It was so fun to have girl time with some of my favorite blogger babes, Lauren of Outfits and Outings, Lauren of Disco Daydream, Aubrey of The Dandy Liar, Chelsea of LoweCo Petite, and Lindsey of Life Lutzurious.
After lots of laughs, and getting yelled at by a very angry flower shop shop owner because we were 10 feet away from his shop (so so cranky) we headed back to our hotel to meet our photographer, and shoot a couple of looks.
Cannot even begin to tell you how freaking lucky I am that Ashley Loyer came to New York Fashion Week to be our photographer! Guys, she is literally SO amazing! So good, that it has me wanting to travel to Oregon just to visit her cute face! She is so talented and I highly recommend her, plus obv she travels :)
This is a look that I was so excited to shoot, because I literally wear this in real life! And wore this same White Tee and Cardi when I flew home. The best part is that this super comfy sweater is currently 30% off! I loved being able to layer this Cut-Out Tee with a Lace Bralette, and Rose Gold Adjustable Necklace.
I am wearing these High Waisted Levi’s right now as I type! They are surprisingly comfortable, and a crazy steal for being only $88! Of course, you guys have already seen these Rebecca Minkoff Blush Booties that I wear with basically everything!
My deep love for Spanx Leggings is well known by now. So it was only a matter of time before I shared a look that included the new Spanx Motto Leggings. When I saw these, I knew I wanted to pair them with a vintage inspired band tee, and what better this Rolling Stones one! Capped off my rocker chic look with a Black Lace Bralette, Ear Jackets, Blacked Out Shades, and Studded Boots and Bag.
You will be seeing a lot of these White Dolce Vita Studded Booties! It is no secret that white booties are a mega trend this season, add a block heel for comfort, and these are IT.
I had a couple of shows schedule after our shoot, but really just wanted to slow it down and enjoy a little piece of NYC for the evening. Myself, Lauren, Lauren, and Ashley grabbed dinner at the chicest little Instagram worthy restaurant While We Were Young in the West Village. It was so nice to not rush our dinner, and to just take the night in! Afterwards we decide to walk the 2 miles back to our hotel and it was literally the best decision EVER. It made it feel like we actually were visiting the city, and got to be out and about instead of stuffed in another uber rushing to be somewhere.
