Hagtap Holiday Drinks: The Hudson Blossom Fizz, at The Atlas

When you first see The Atlas, it comes off as a nameless, rustic looking pub. Walking in, you acquire almost an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ feeling, getting pulled in by the tight entrance and curved bar. The bar’s sleek design allows you to follow it towards the center of the restaurant where you are greeted by the super friendly hostess.

The venue opens up into an elegant, dimly-lit setting. The Atlas’ sophisticated, classic design and the empowering bar gave it a mature and sexy vibe. Towards the back of the restaurant, there’s a much smaller bar in a more intimate setting with Venetian couches and vintage furniture, plus a back wall of books and other decor. Not only can you be served on these vintage couches, there is also an upstairs seating area for you to dine in, right on top of this back room.

Taking a seat at the small bar, Atlas’ mixologist, Max Goldberg, concocted one of the most unique holiday drinks I’ve seen thus far. Named The Hudson Blossom Fizz, it’s made with Laird’s Apple Brandy, and Israeli Orange Blossom Water. It’s fizzy property allows for the heavy cream to rise high above the glass, creating an extremely exciting and peculiar Hagtap Holiday Drink experience!
