Thank you for sharing this take on libraries and your experience, Jenny! This sounds like a wonderful environment that’s not quite a library, yet evolved from the classic archetype of a library. The element I’m picking up here as being central to the success of any library whether new or old is its librarians. PEOPLE can make or break a place, right? and many new libraries are desgined to accomodate every age and every desired experience but it’s the librarians who must pull it all together.
