Documentation of An In-Class Exercise by Hailey McDermott
Social media as a medium in its short history has still evolved a great deal. Different platforms, or different mediums are more suited to handle different message intents. As a part of a class exercise I analyzed Facebook and came to the following conclusions about the platform:
What is Facebook today?
- A place to ask for recommendations.
- A place to participate in popular culture.
- A place to share memes.
- A place to pyramid scheme the heck out of your friends and family.
