Fantasy Football Week 10: Players You Need To Sit and Start

Welcome to week 10. Let’s get back to the fantasy football grind.

Kick Ass

Ben Roethlisberger — We (well one of us) worried about him last week… and he whooped the Ravens. In the last two week he’s has 12 TDs and making connections with Antonio Brown, Markus Wheaton, and rookie Martavis Bryant. Plus, he’s up against the Jets D/ST. Need we say more?

LeSean McCoy – Sure he’s only been average 8.6 points per game (per ESPN standard scoring), but we’re confident he’s finally getting his groove. We’re also betting that the Eagles will want to ease Mark Sanchez into the starting playcaller role, which means they’ll rely more on the run game. On top of that, Carolina is horrible against the run. The one thing you should look out for is the fact he didn’t practice on Wednesday due to illness, but Philly has a Monday game so he has plenty of time to rest up and get those fluids in.

Ronnie Hillman- He’s up against the always defeated Raiders this week, giving him potential RB2 status. If you need consistency, just look at the four TDs he’s had in the last three games. Side note: It may even be advantageous to try Juwan Thompson if Hillman is limited at all due to a lingering shoulder injury.

Jeremy Hill – The Hill is alive with the sound of touchdowns. The RB went off last week, bringing home 27 points for his owners. With Giovanni Bernard doubtful and Hill expected to reprise his Week 9 work load this Thursday, confidently start him in all leagues.

Suck Ass

Frank Gore- His only standout performance was week four when the 49ers played the Eagles. In his last three games, he hasn’t had any TDs. Gore is owned in 99 percent of leagues, but can’t be relied on to perform consistently.

Mike Wallace –Out of the 37 points Miami scored while demolishing the Chargers, only Clay, Miller, Mathews and Landry were able to eat. There’s just too many options for the Dolphins, even though Wallace is talented. Don’t drop him, but this week isn’t a great matchup against Detroit which has been strong against wideouts this season.

Rueben Randle-He Had a shot at greatness when Victor Cruz went out with an injury, but overall, he has not been an impressive fantasy player this year. The Seahawks have allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing wideouts this year. If you have another WR option, I’d take it.

Odell Beckham Jr.-We hate to seem like we’re hating on the Giants, but we just don’t trust Eli Manning against the Legion of Boom. While ODB has been been a fantasy machine these past few weeks, we’re also not confident he can keep up his level of production.
