In this post i will be implementing “Donald Norman’s Three Levels of Design”. On a coffee holder that i have found appealing.

Visceral Level: First impression or gut feelings.

Behavioral Level: The user experience.

Reflective Level: About memory user had with the product.

Coffee holder

Visceral

First impression is that this holder looks fashionable. But also feels useful at the same time. It is made with thin paper which is good for the environment. You could also charge more money for the coffee because of modern look. It also has a sticker of the company so whenever you are peeling it off then you just get reminded about the brand. #GoodMarketingStrategy

Behavioral

This solves the problem of holding two coffees with one hand without the risk of dropping or getting hot coffee on you. Also the problem of defining what’s inside the paper coffee mug. There is checkboxes for alternative coffees.

Reflective

Even if you left the store and went back to work with the coffee and somehow forget about the brand then you would still get reminded by the sticker. It also gets people attention because of the contrast of black and white colors

Pros

  • accessibility

Cons

  • Paper waste
  • Not so safe in a car

Here is two more products i like.

Removes the seeds from the pepper easily and comfortable.

Stirs for you while you are doing something else. Preventing the soap to get burned.
