I LOVE KYOTO

Do you know Kyoto? It’s the city ,which I was boned and grow up, in Japan. Kyoto city is one of the most famous sight-seeing city in Japan and most traditional city n Japan. However there are a lot of people who don’t know about Kyoto. I show up how interesting place it is.

Temples and Shrines

Kyoto is said to be over 1000 Buddhist temples and shrines. There are 17 cultural world heritages in Kyoto. All of them are true masterpieces. In particular I recommend Kinkaku-ji and Fushimi Inari Taisya. Kinkaku-ji is the golden temple which is splendour and magnificent. This is a place you cannot forget after seeing it once. Fushimi Inari Taisya which is the mother of all shrines has arcades of vermillion torii (shrine gate) spread across a mountain side.

Kyoto streets

While the rest of Japan adapt modernity with abandon, the old way is handing on in Kyoto. There are a lot of Japanese traditional houses especially in Gion, which has machiya (Japanese traditional townhouses) and Geisya walk around. Visit old shotengay (shopping street) and admire ancient speciality shops, which are sento (public buss), tofu shops, pickle vendors and so on.

Why I love Kyoto.

I live in Kyoto foe all my life but I’ve never been bored with Kyoto. I don’t have enough time to know all of Kyoto because it has 1000 years deep history. I always find new things. Go to buy a air ticket to Kyoto soon. It’s the one to understand Japanese culture and tradition.
