A ground breaking deal was initiated between Pakistan and Romania who have agreed upon signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in order to create collaborative working groups for increasing bilateral cooperation in the sectors of accredited Halal meat and dairy production.

The Ambassador of Romania Nicolae Goia called on National Food Security and Research Minister Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan and discussed issues of mutual interest and enhanced cooperation in agriculture sector development. The Minister praised the ambassador in relation to the procedures and functions of the Ministry of National Food Security and its related departments. He detailed that the country was producing different surplus crops including wheat, rice and sugarcane for domestic consumption in addition to exporting.
