5 Virtual Non-Alcohol Related Culture-Building Events for Teams
Game Nights
Playing board games with friends and family is always a great way to feel connected and relieve stress. There are lots of options for online games. If you have a game in mind, I would recommend googling the game as well and you can likely find online versions which you can play. Some of my favorite games for larger groups include:
The only game listed you need to purchase but is well worth it. They have party packs with 5 different games and one person can share their screen and the game is played through each individual’s phone using a unique URL.
3 rounds consisting of taboo, charades, and password
Social deduction game in which each player is assigned a character and you are trying to find which players are the werewolves
Fun fast paced category based party game where you and your team come up with answers that fit categories listed on the card. A HALCYON FAVORITE ON OUR GAME NIGHT :)
A guessing game in which players are split in two teams and give hints to each other regarding words to guess
Award winning strategy game where players collect resources to build roads, houses and cities
Cooking Classes
For all the Chopped and Top Chef fans, now is your time to shine. Instead of your weekly quarantine menu, try out something new with one of these virtual cooking classes. Several options are available that also allow you to be sent the ingredients. This way, you can continue to social distance and not need to make a trip to the grocery store. It is recommended that, if possible, employers order the ingredients to be delivered to all participants through a local grocery store that delivers.
Previous cooking classes at this local Baltimore establishment have moved to Zoom! They will deliver all the ingredients you need and have some delicious options that cater to everyone. I have personally done two of these classes with my fiance, which have been a blast!!
They have chefs around the world that can guide you through prompts and tasks with great care to create the dish. Although they do not offer delivery of the ingredients, they help each person prep a shopping list.
If your company wants to host a virtual class in which the whole family can participate, this one is for you!!
Escape Room
Team up with your coworkers to discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks to escape!

Using Netflix Party, you can watch Netflix together online. Netflix Party synchronizes video playback and adds a group chat to your favorite Netflix shows. Watch “The Office” while not being at the office and laugh with your team.

A mid-day meditation for your employees at home or a pre- or post-work yoga class can help bring peace of mind during quarantine. There are tons of options online, which can be presented on zoom for all to enjoy.
