Vermont needs to do this.
Could your dog be mayor?
With all the political non-sense going on in our country, I say screw it and lets get a dog in for mayor. I mean hey, Reno Nevada did it.
Meet Everett:

Everette is a Newfoundland/lab mix, who was adopted from from the SPCA of northern Nevada two years ago. He was a rescue dog.
Everett was sworn in as mayor in the city of Reno, Nevada for one day.

Everett was awarded this honor after his adopted parents attended an annual charity event put on by the SPCA, called “A Furr to Remember” Gala. His parents bidded the highest, earning Everett this prize.

As a part of the prize, Everett gets to tour around the city in a fancy limo, taking pictures with landmarks.

He also gets a retirement package, recieving a dog bed, bowl, gift basket, and 60 pound bag of dog food.
Making Everett, one happy dog.

So WHY isn’t Vermont doing this already?! I know my dog would make for one great mayor.

Okay, maybe not…
