Mediocracy vs Mediocrity (which is the more correct usage for your article). When it comes to how one person IS, you were surely thinking of mediocrity, correct? Mediocrity: “the quality or state of being mediocre” (a quality which one may, unfortunately, possess or reflect).

Versus a Mediocracy, a relatively “new” made-up word (first appeared around 1825), which means: “a dominant class consisting of mediocre people, or a system in which mediocrity is rewarded” (a group to which one may, unfortunately belong).

Some time with a dictionary may be beneficial before pressing “enter”.

Otherwise, a useful article.
