You make the mistake of thinking that they actually care about the plight of black people. They care about the plight of hip hop culture. And make no mistake, hip hop culture is not exclusive to black people. Hip hop has spread so far and wide that its not only reflective of the black community anymore. Its a worldwide culture. So they see no need to advance the cause of black people. They advance the cause of HIP HOP. WE need to make change for ourselves and stop our reliance on the white man to save us and speak up for us. When we make pleas like this it comes off as desperate and portrays an image of helplessness.
