The development of 3-D printed cars has skyrocketed within recent years. It is quite unimaginable that one can generate a fully functional automobile from a simple printer. The device that was once responsible for creating text can now create useful automobiles.

Who was the first to perfect this technique?

Local Motors was the first company to develop their prototype called Strati. It is an electric car that is capable of speeds of up to 35 miles per hour or more. The Strati was printed in just under 44 hours. That is an incredible feat for mankind.
