Earth’s age in the universe is 4.5 billion years old. Our galaxy “The Milky Way” is 13.5 billion years old, where there is an estimated 1 billion stars, around these stars there is an estimated 10 million earth-like planets in our galaxy alone! that are candidates of being habitable, as they have some similarities to Earth, especially their distance from the stars they’re orbiting. These Earth-like planets are candidates for extraterrestrial life. Now let’s have the possibility that some planets that are older than Earth have intelligent life, an intelligence that might far exceed our species as the science of statistics, astrophysics, and alien biology all agreed to assume might exist.
Why do we domesticate and eat animals?
I know I’m going in a completely different direction here, but bear with me…
We started hunting and eating animals to survive, we had no farming techniques at our disposal, and we lived in a big large Forrest called earth. As we advanced we started domesticating animals in our habitats, and this is what we often do with them;
- Play with them and adopt them and make them live in our houses (cats, dogs…etc).
- Feed them and eat them, especially the ones that have delicious meat (Chicken, cows, sheep, pigs).
- Domesticate them for competitions, and make them race or fight (Horses, and dogs)
- Ride them for fun and hobbies and sports.
- Take their juices and hair and skin, for our bags and accessories, can we live without leather bags?! of course not.
Why do we do that? because Animals don’t communicate their feelings in our language or any sort of an understandable one, I don’t think all humans are heartless just because they do the above, but I think if animals could communicate with us in a way that we could understand and comprehend, then a lot of us wouldn’t do most of the slavery mentioned above behavior.
I think they probably try to communicate but we’re not on the same level of intelligence to understand their suffering, or for them to understand our behavior!
Now imagine an advanced species of extraterrestrial beings looking for sources of energy because this is what we all as biological creatures look for all the time, a source of energy, whether we are a virus, bacteria, humans, or animals we’re always looking for food, oil, gas, sun…etc.
Now imagine these aliens are on a different level of intelligence, where we cannot understand their language of any sort, I’ll leave the rest to your imagination…but would you blame them if they try to suck up our energy, or if they domesticated us?!
I hope they’re vegan, and at a high level of intelligence, enabling them to look for universal-friendly energy sources.
