Management does not mean that you do everything by yourself and sometimes its important to delegate tasks.

Some Reasons for Delegation

  1. When you want to enable your team to learn.
  2. When you want to do things faster.
  3. When you want to let your employee know their opinion is also important and give them sense of ownership.
  4. When you trust them.
  5. When you think your team is professionals.

Some Problems with Delegation

a. Maybe your team is not qualified and their choices will not be something to achieve your target.

b. The person you delegated tasks to you have not given authority to do it.

c. Your employee will be trained and will leave your organization when they have better opportunity.

d. The secrets of your organization will be public.

e. Your team will be thinking, you cant do it so you ask for their help.
