Experiential learning is a way of learning in which we learn from an experienced person who can guide us in best possible manner about specific purpose. So for this purpose we planned to meet an expert Nadia Gillani, Head of Eliya Care Home to have guidance about interview skills in order to know the importance of “Being real and fully Equipped” in an interview. It was a wonderful journey of meeting her and learning from her.

We were a group of students, we contacted her through call and planned a meeting with her, went there, she was a kind, highly qualified and passionate lady. We asked her a lot of questions like what is the importance of being real in an interview for her? Is degree more important to her or passion during recruitment of individuals?

She explained very well by giving her life example that how she was first got rejected for a post of teacher in some institute on the basis of her degree and then got selected as a principal in the same institute just on the basis of being real. So she motivated us to focus on technical skills too but don’t ever try to fake yourself, be who you are.

We learned from her to look modest rather than being fashionable during an interview, be genuine, be pure in your intentions and never give up. Degree is somehow important but it’s the passion that makes you stand out from other candidates.
