IPhone VS Android

The market share for phone operating systems is only a two-horse, IOS and Android. Android is controlling 75% of the market and IOS is having less than 25℅ of the control. We listen to this Android VS iPhone debate every day but today we are going to look at some of the features of both Android and IOS and try to find out which one is the best. We are first going to explain and describe both Android and iPhone and then we will compare them.

Android

Android is a mobile operating system based on a modified version of the Linux kernel. It is designed for touchscreen mobile devices. It was unveiled in November 2007 and its first commercial device was launched in September 2008. It is free and open-source software, its source code is known as the Android Open Source Project [ Wikipedia].

iPhone

The iPhone is a line of smartphones designed and marketed by Apple Inc. that uses Apple's IOS mobile operating system. The first generation iPhone was announced by former Apple CEO Steve Jobs on January 9, 2007. Since then iPhone has released numerous iPhones and other devices. As of November 1, 2018, more than 2.2 billion iPhones had been sold [ Wikipedia]

Comparison

As per users, Android is the king of the market but it doesn't mean that Android is better. Since we all know that iPhone is expensive and this can be the reason why a lot of people use Android as compared to the iPhone. The price of the first iPhone was $499 as compared to the price of the first android mobile which cost $199. The best selling iPhone is the iPhone 6 and 6 plus with 200 million buyers while the best selling Android mobile was the Samsung galaxy 4 with 80 million buyers.

The apps available for Android are more than 3.5 million and the apps available for IOS are more than 2.5 million. There are a lot of androids phones as compared to iPhones and hence it provides more variety to the users and this can be the reason for their high sales as compared to the iPhones.

If you talk about battery life, iPhones have a great battery life but nothing compared to some of the android phones which are having a superior battery life. If we talk about maps then according to some of the websites and reviewers Google Maps is far better than Apple Maps.

iPhones have better security and privacy policy as compared to android. IOS is faster and easy to use. iPhone is more stable as compared to android. This is all because it designs its software and hardware. iPhone has the best ecosystem and it makes life easier.

Android and iPhone both have different features and have many similar features and in the end, it is your personal preference. It is up to you whether you choose iPhone or Android.
