Midas Touch

From the shimmer of a shiny necklace to the warm glow of the summer sun, we cannot go far without running into the color gold. It is once we try to harness this celestial color within our homes that we are presented with a true design challenge. When applied by the best interior designer in Pakistan, golden color has the ability to elevate one’s living space from sophisticated to sublime. Each and every corner of modern home designs in Lahore can be dabbed in gold, and by doing so, invoke an exclusive air of glamor, wealth, and luxury.

Gold is one of the few flexible colors that works well with complementary colors as well as neutral base colors like black and white. Keeping this in mind, let’s see how we can apply gold tones with the help of bathroom fixtures, accent pieces, furniture pieces, wall paint, cabinets, and more.

Bathroom Fixtures

Not a lot of people give special attention to the type of fixtures they purchase for their new bathrooms. While it is a minor detail, tastefully-chosen golden bathroom fixture can instantly class-up the joint! With gold set as the primary color for the bathroom fixtures, all that is left for an interior designer to do is add in cream-white and grays for a classic, Roman Bath feel. Deviate from the standard silver metallic bathroom fixtures and take our suggestion to go for the gold.

Accent Furniture

Again, it’s all about the details. Furniture with a golden accent brings forth to a sense of luxury and royalty in the room. There is a catch to this, however, as you have to pick the right colors to work with the golden tones. As mentioned before, golden color works the best with neutral shades and complementary shades.

Wall Paint

Golden wall paint is most probably the riskiest element that you have to decide on in comparison with the other variables. Gold wall paint can either make your room or break your room depending on the color coordination of the rest of the room. An example of a setting where gold wall paint would work out is if you would pair it with any shade of red to red-tone yellows.

Cabinets

You may be wondering, “How can the color gold and cabinetry possibly work together?” True, the idea may be a bit unnerving but if you plan it just right, golden cabinets can bring unmatched sophistication to the rest of your house. If the idea of gold-colored cabinets is too bold, why not jazz up freshly varnished wooden cabinets and drawers with golden handles & drawer pulls? Since gold is a vibrant tone, even when used in small quantities, opt for untreated wooden surfaces or darker-colored cabinet doors to visually balance out the interior. You can also keep it ultra-simple by pairing gold cabinets against a white backsplash in a urban, modern-style kitchen design.

Lamps

It is impossible not to feel slightly formal when in a room designed with a predominantly golden palette. While you do not require a tuxedo, designers intentionally play up this color association when drafting ideas for hotel rooms, board rooms and penthouses. Take a page from the designer’s playbook and place golden lamps where you will park the guests, such as the formal drawing room or the guest room.

There are a number of benefits in implementing gold within your home, whether through small bathroom fixtures or by painting an entire wall in golden color. Some people shy away from this particular color, but what it really boils down to is the ability of individual interior decorators in Pakistan to design with class and restraint. Take our word for it -gold can really take your home to the next level!
