When it comes to fast fashion, Shein is a name that often comes up. Known for its trendy and affordable clothing, Shein has captured the attention of many fashion enthusiasts. However, as a plus-size individual, finding clothes that fit well and look good can be challenging. This brings us to the question: Is Shein Curve made to fit plus-size bodies? I ordered a bunch of pieces to find out.

What is Shein Curve and Plus?

Shein Curve and Plus is the plus-size section of Shein, offering a wide range of sizes from XL to 5X. With more than 75,000 options available, this section includes everything from dresses and workwear to swimwear and lingerie. However, it’s important to note that Shein’s sizing can be quite different from traditional plus sizes. For example, at Shein, a 0XL is equivalent to a size 12, and a 5X is equivalent to a size 22.

  3. Swimwear: Plus-size swimwear options range from bikinis to one-pieces, designed to be both trendy and comfortable.

The Good: What I Like About Shein Curve and Plus

Affordable Prices

One of the most appealing aspects of Shein Curve is the price. The clothes are incredibly affordable, making it easy to revamp your wardrobe without breaking the bank. For example, you can find T-shirts for as little as $5 and dresses for around $10.

Comfortable and Stylish

Despite the low prices, many of the clothes are comfortable and stylish. I’ve found several pieces that have become staples in my wardrobe, such as the Daisy Floral Midi Flared Skirt, which is both stretchy and snug, making it perfect for everyday wear.

Wide Variety

With more than 75,000 plus-size options, there’s something for everyone at Shein Curve. Whether you’re looking for casual wear, work attire, or something for a special occasion, you’re likely to find it here.

The Bad: What I Don’t Like About Shein Curve and Plus

Inconsistent Sizing

One of the biggest issues with Shein Curve is the inconsistent sizing. For instance, I ordered a T-shirt in my usual size 16, and it barely fit. Meanwhile, other shirts in the same size fit comfortably loose. This inconsistency can make shopping online a bit of a gamble.

Quality Concerns

Another downside is the quality of some items. While I’ve found many pieces that I love, I’ve also encountered a few duds. For example, a Floral Printed Dress I ordered felt like cheap Halloween costume material and looked like a potato sack. The quality can be hit or miss, so it’s important to read reviews before making a purchase.
