To improve 1% everyday

Recently I followed the Zake Zhang’s Wechat Blog, and it really inspires me. He is a very strong-minded person and he want to become a great product manger. He says he wants to improve himself 1% everyday and make a record everyday. He is someone who is loving thinking. He says he think about things deeply, hope everyone can likewise. I do want likewise! So I want to make a record of my life too. Maybe it seem boring but I really think that will help me a lot.

Who am I & where am I now?

I am a junior student in Xi’an Jiaotong University in China. My major is Mechanism Engineering. I love my major and I hope to become a standout engineer in the future. My recent goal is to get offer from Purdue University which was called the boiler of the world.

The interesting thing is that I am in the United States now! I am in the summer session in the U of M. I really treasure this chance to go abroad and meet something brilliant! So I decide to record my everyday here to meet my growing-up~


What I learned & improved

  1. I tried something new and am brave to connect with TA and professor now
  2. learned to use the 3D printer (but I think I do need some help from TA to accomplish my work)
  3. download the ANSYS and get reading materials from TA
  4. figure out one difficult question of systems control and use Matlab to get a right answer. This one is really exciting!
  5. I reduce the time wasting on my phone.
  6. When I study, I become more concentrated and efficient.

What need to improve

  1. English!!! I can’t understand my professors when they are delivering lectures… I need some changes about this.
  2. I didn’t get up early today
  3. If there is meeting next time, I need to be earlier than the begin time. It helps me learn better and more during the meeting.

My goals for tomorrow

  1. I could get up at 7 a.m.
  2. I could sleep at 11:30 p.m.
  3. Go jogging for 30 mins.
  4. Finish reading Ch10 before class.
  5. Finish my reading assignment for heat tranfer.

I feel so cooooool now! Keep moving!
