Popular Motifs That Using in Traditional Saree

Bengal weavers’ use different type art or pattern as motif in traditional Bengal saree. It represents various stages of life, nature, ritual or customs, historical story etc.

According to saree motifs are selected. Nature related motif like paisley, palka, twigs, flower is used in jamdani saree. Some times religious motif aslo used.

Murshidabad silks saree design with a wide variety of traditional and modern designs.

Nakshi kantha saree is design with paisley or some ritual stories.

Fish motif, temple, stripe are used in shatipuri, dhaniakhali, fulia saree.

In baluchari, kanchipuram banarasi saree we can see historical story, bird,horse, elephant, dancer motifs etc.
