Handstand: What is one thing you can not live without?

Karyl: My Eye mask for better sleep.

Handstand: What are the words you live by?
Karyl: Take time to do things you enjoy. It’s about having some balance. You will be more productive.

Handstand: If you weren’t a personal trainer what would you be?
Karyl: I would be an athletic trainer (working with athlete injuries) or in Biomechanics for fitness product testing.

Handstand: What is your favorite fitness tip you like to share with clients?

Karyl: Learning how to foam roll. A lot of pain and muscle imbalances can be fixed by proper foam roll & mobility stretches

Handstand: If you were a song, which would you be?
Karyl: Living by Bakermat

Handstand: If you could redesign the food pyramid without any dire health consequences how would it look?

Karyl: I would start with fruit & veggies at the bottom, then seafood/meat, next sweets, then dairy.

Handstand: How would you describe your training style?
Karyl: I never have the same workout and I use a variety of techniques that improve strength. I also push you outside of your comfort zone but I encourage you the whole way.

Handstand: Who is your celebrity crush?
Karyl: Gerard Butler

Handstand: What inspires you?

Karyl: Seeing others succeed at what they love. It shows that I can do it too.

Handstand: What is your favorite body part?
Karyl: My Arms. I see the quickest results there.

Handstand: What is the exercise you like to do most with a client?
Karyl: I use the StrongBoard Balance for a lot of training. It’s very versatile and improves any injuries quicker and also increases overall strength.

Handstand: What is the most ridiculous health or fitness myth you’ve heard?

Karyl: If you eat less than 1200 calories you lose weight quicker. This is definitely FALSE

Handstand: Share a fact about you!
Karyl: I LOVE Pool Parties! It’s always a good time and I meet fun people. Plus it keeps me motivated to stay in shape.
