Google Noto Fonts

Now support Myanmar Unicode

Google released new fonts named “Noto” google font which support all the world’s languages. The tools to develop the fonts are also available at https://code.google.com/p/noto/ .

I am happy to say that Myanmar font is included as “Noto Sans Myanmar”. You can able to download here.

There are two fonts inside which are normal (400) typeface and bold (700) typeface. I still can’t find in Google Font but hopefully they will put it there soon. Therefore, we, Myanmar people are able to embed the Myanmar fonts for our websites. Currently there are some of the Myanmar Unicodes are availiable in Google Fonts which are Tharlon, Padauk, Myanmar Sans Pro as Early Access.

There are many support for Myanmar Unicode and users are very easy to use those benefits as well as developers who should develop more and more “easy to use tools” for end-users. By the way, most online favourite font (Zawgyi font) was stopped ending support for user for so long already since 2009 I guess (may be wrong). But why people are afraid to change?

May be lack of knowledge? May be not benefit for them? May be used to it with Zawgyi? Anyway, “JUST CHANGE”.
