22-Year-Old Journalist Tyrah Majors Launches Talk Show on Young Entrepreneurs
For 22-year-old Tyrah Majors, journalism is a passion. As a graduate student currently working towards her Master’s degree in Journalism at the University of Southern California, she has launched a fresh, new talk show: Major Moves with Tyrah Majors.
Major Moves features one-on-one interviews with rising, millennial entrepreneurs, and serves as a driving force for those looking to start their own brand. The show, which is self-produced by Majors, hosts those who are making “major moves,” whether they are an entrepreneur, artist, designer, or making a difference and positive impact on the world.
Majors says, “If there is one thing I know, it is that young people have so much power to influence other young people, especially in today’s culture of social media. They tend to be driven and feel inspired when they see great things done by people like themselves.” With Major Moves, Majors hopes that potential entrepreneurs will find the inspiration to turn their ideas into a reality.
Utilizing her resources as a student at USC, Majors films Major Moves in a TV studio on campus and is the first talk show launched at USC with its format. Viewers can catch the show on YouTube biweekly.
Beyond producing and hosting Major Moves, Majors has also authored a children’s book, Grammy and Me, telling the story of a young girl who is spending the day with her grandmother. The story highlights family values and draws characters of color to the forefront of children’s literature.
Making “major moves” herself, Tyrah Majors is dedicated to giving a platform for young, millennial entrepreneurs. She hopes that the show will inspire others to achieve great things and to instill the confidence that they can pursue their dreams. It is only a matter of time before we see more from Majors, her passion will surely fuel more projects.
