Help us shape the future of comments on economist.com

Perhaps the Economist should monitor and guide, to some extent, the discussion occurring in resonse to content it produces. Despite the fact that there are responses which are irrelevant, lacking quality, or are not thoughtful, I believe that the overall ability to engage in educated discussion overrides these exceptions. The comments forum is especially a very useful tool to foster communication and discussion between the author and the reader, which is an important part of the process of sharing information.
