Chicken Treat, an Australian fast-food chicken franchise allows a hen named Betty to run their Twitter account by placing a computer in her coop. Betty mainly tweets random nonsensical strings of characters as she pecks at or walks over the keyboard. The company will continue this marketing stunt until Betty successfully tweets a five-letter word in English, placing her in the Guinness Book of World Records.
On Wednesday, a man was held on a $5,000 bond after he was arrested on a Florida bridge and charged with felony DUI in his motorized wheelchair. Ronny Scott Hicks, 54, was blocking multiple lanes of travel on a bridge and he smelled strongly of alcohol. Court records show that Hicks has an extensive DUI record with two convictions in 2013 and one in 1998.
Sept. 8th, Maya Donnelly, heard what she thought was thunder — yet it was a package that fell from the sky. Inside was roughly 26 pounds of marijuana worth $10,000 and likely was dropped there accidentally by a drug smuggler’s aircraft. The family will have to pay the estimated $500 in repairs, as well as pay for a new home for their German Shepherd, Hulk, but the scenario could have been much worse.
