@AlexeyBaka If the problem were just dealing drugs we would see a LOT more white people in prison for it. As Chris Steward said, African-Americans are arrested and imprisoned on a hugely disproportionate scale. But really, the core of the problem that has so many people outraged is that too many innocent people are dying for no good reason at the hands of those who are supposed to serve and protect, to help to resolve conflicts reasonably. Hair-trigger responses to something as mundane as a broken tail light are utterly inappropriate, and as we saw last week, for a black man they can be deadly. What speaks volumes is that his tail light was not even broken. Now he’s dead. A non-drug dealer, an innocent man who had never been in trouble with the law. Dead. That is simply unacceptable.
