I got an opportunity recently to have an in-depth interview with Cecilia Gilbreath to learn more about her company, Rosie Cleans and her inspiration behind starting a cleaning background after 20 years in sales. So how did the founder of a successful cleaning company start off? Believe it or not, Cecilia graduated from the highly respected Fashion Institute of Technology. Majoring in creative design and business, Cecilia quickly aligned herself in sales with highly reputable companies after college. After gaining tremendous experience and exposure in both business and fashion industries, Cecilia felt the need to start her own company. Just an idea at first, but a genius one to say the least. Cecilia’s vision was to combine cleaning services with class and sophistication.

Cecilia recalls starting to do research on the cleaning industry, learning about the ins and outs of what it takes to run a successful cleaning business. Cecilia was already familiar with the business aspect from prior sales experience and possessed natural creativity that she cultivated during her days at FIT and working in the fashion industry. After discussing and planning with her brother, Rosie Cleans was ready to be established. Cecilia’s approach to forming a company was a tactical one from a few different standpoints. She made sure she had a solid reliable back end team to drive her company forward. Working in New York City and attending FIT, her creativity lended itself to create strong marketing and branding strategies to get Rosie Cleans noticed in North Jersey.
