The most used argument for why Bitcoin cannot scale, that I have heard, is because of network propagation, not storage. But I think there’s a lot of different opinions on this topic. What I can say though is, that we have not tried running a main net with constant GB or TB blocks. I think it’s worth trying and I think, we can solve the bottlenecks reaching this level of scale.
