About Location :
Maybe one of the most beautiful spot in the world, in addition to being in the top 10 wind statistics from April to November. You have to be loneliness and meditation lover because there is not much to do after your kite session. The water is amazing and the spot is not busy at all (10 riders at the most for a 30 or 40 km2 spot)
Babaomby is located at the very North of Madagascar, at the intersection between the Indian Ocean and the Mozambique Canal.
The spot is famous for its incredible emerald-green lagoon, one of the most gorgeous in the world. The wind blows steadily (20 to 35 knots) almost everyday, from April to mid-November. The lagoon is two-miles wide and super flat : awesome for freestyle and effortless free ride! Wave addict ? You’ll find some decent waves on the outer reef.
The white sandy beach is quite small, but launching isn’t really an issue anyway. You’ll have no problem finding someone to help you. Emerald Sea : Reachable only with a group of people by sailing boat, wild spot, nobody around, amazing water… an unforgetable kite adventure. An isolated kiteschool and many touristic activities close by. African atmosphere.
Conditions :
It is quite a small trip to reach the dream spot : 15 min driving in an old french Renault up to Ramena and then 45 min on a boat. In a crystal-clear water you kite with turtles. You can get an amazing wave at the edge of the spot !
