What a wonderful story! (But there is always another side)

We are one of the partners who got “Project Streamlined” without any notice or warning when White Label Dating / Global Personals / Venntro announced on 23rd March 2018:

“Upcoming site closures…..we will be moving a number of your sites to offline so that we can go ahead with the implementation of these essential projects. The sites we’ve decided to turn off are those that have either not generated a basic member in February, or generated less than £100 in total revenue in February.

To reduce the impact this may have on your revenues, we will be migrating any members from these sites to other sites within your portfolio to ensure you can continue collecting the rebill revenue.

I do understand that building a portfolio of sites is part of your strategy and collectively, these sites may make up a fair amount of revenue. However, we do believe that to accelerate growth for both yours and our businesses over the next 12 months, it is essential that we look to streamline the business and reduce the number of low performing or inactive sites on the platform.”

This was a devastating blow for us as we were getting ready to modernise the sites and many of them has been on the White Label Dating / Global Personals / Venntro platform for many years. And this came with no warning at all and we were given no opportunity to try to improve revenue either, even though we wanted to. Of course we lost revenue as a result.

No-one talked to us about this:

“Instead, we want to spend our time and efforts with our committed partners and invest both money and resources into supporting and motivating partners who are driving registrations to our business and working with us proactively for mutual long-term, sustainable growth.”

Shortly after that, all partners were then told that we had to make lots of changes to our sites because White Label Dating / Global Personals / Venntro had allegedly been investigated by the Competition Markets Authority. This created more upheaval.

Then came all the site and registration form changes to make sure all the sites were GDPR compliant! This was another mad rush to beat the deadline. Not our fault.

Just when we thought the dust had settled and it was time to focus on marketing and revenue development, the latest take it or leave us bombshell arrived on 24th August 2018, presumably under Project Streamline:

“As of September 1st, (2018) White Label Dating / Global Personals / Venntro will be implementing a transparent, revenue share structure for all partners to ensure growth. This structure is a tier based scheme, rewarding all partners who grow their Initial revenue monthly. With this in mind, I’m excited to tell you that as of September 1st 2018 you’ll be paid 100% revenue share for all Initial revenue payments across your account.

To allow us to reward growth on your account to this degree, we will be reducing your re-bill revenue share to 5%.”(from 50%)

Excited? Are you kidding us? That was like a hammer blow! After the site cull on 23rd March 2018 and now this? We figured out that we would lose thousands of pounds as a result of this. Anyone who knows this business, will know that the big money is in the rebills!

We complained of course and our contract was terminated.

So no applause for you from us Ross Williams!
