And that’s the argument that most people make, that Jesus was real, and influential, but just not God. I’m one of those people that has had a few life experiences that really opened my eyes to a lot of things, and that, of course, drastically changed my world views. But most people don’t experience things like that.
Basically, either Jesus was crazy — which if he was, then I am as well— or he is God, and I am lucky enough to have felt something to lead me to my current views on the matter. I can’t say for 100% certain that I’m not crazy — because that would be crazy! — but I know what I believe 100%.
It’s hard to put your faith into something, if you’re not sure what it really is. I think there was a moment for me when I was younger where I took a leap of faith into believing in God — and I very well could have been led by God towards that decision. (There’s a whole Calvinist discussion I could have right here on these posts if people want to join in haha.) But I feel as though I made a choice to want to believe in God, and I’m not sure why that was. Simply put, I think I just wanted to believe, and to see what God was all about.
