I’m so frustrated you disagree with me! jk the concept of the supernatural existing is tricky because of the rarity of occurrences. Truly the most evident verification of the miracles of Christ, and of the prophets from the Bible, rest on the sheer number of witnesses during those times.
Think about it: why do we believe that George Washington was the first president of the US? Because there were thousands of people that recorded this as being true. We never saw him personally; we never touched him; we never witnessed any of his battles, but we believe that George Washington existed regardless. This is the same with Jesus; although, it challenges our perception of reality in such a way that it seems preposterous to the average person.
There have been numerous philosophers that have stated similar things, in that reality isn’t as concrete as we like to think. Was it Descartes that said, “I think therefore I am”? Personally, I think reality is a lie. And if God exists, then he can change any rule he wants, regardless of our opinions of him and of ourselves.
If we look at ourselves as gods, then we set the limits of possibility to that of ourselves and our immediate peers. But if we cast aside that belief, and venture into the possibility of God’s existence, then impossible is a meaningless word.
