I’ve discovered that ageism in our culture, not just in Silicon Valley, is so widespread that I have even become a victim myself — wondering if I could/should still play tennis, paddle a canoe, ride a bike. A summer vacation in Brittany, where ageism is not so prevalent, convinced me that I, indeed, can do all those things. But it’s interesting that I thought I could not. Ageism is much more widespread than the tech industry and affects even the mature themselves.
