Gender differentiates and defines the roles, responsibilities of kids. These distinct behaviors and roles bring a difference in social status or rights. There may be definite biological differences in boys and girls and different capacities. At the age of a toddler, kids learn to differentiate from boys to girls and play with the games or toys which are designed based on the gender.

Gender Equality In Kids

At this age, show them the persons in books or reality, who are doing diverse gender roles or occupations, such as a male nurse, a working mom, male chef, a lady police etc. Don’t choose the games and toys between girls and boys. Allow your boys to play with playing houses and your girls to climb trees. Encourage them to do a group work. Make your home a gender neutral with different settings such as toys, etc. Teach emotional intelligence so that they can have mutual respect. So, talk to your kids and teach them gender equality and empower them to follow their dreams. Visit Shumee and get toys for your kids that fight gender equality.
