We all love candles and have purchased them at least one point in our lives. Although most candles are pretty affordable, there are some exorbitantly priced candles available around the world. This blog will discuss some of the most expensive candles around the world.

Gucci — The Virgin Violet Candle $680

This one is part of The Alchemist’s Garden collection, which consists of perfumes, oils, and this one candle. Fancy.

Lladro — Scheherazade’s Quarters 1001 Lights Candle $520

This beautiful-looking candle has 5 wicks and has a scent that is supposed to represent the magic of the night and the full moon. For those of us that don’t know what the full moon smells like, the fragrance notes are black currant, lotus flower, and olibanum (frankincense). This candle comes in this translucent porcelain vessel shown above which can be reused once the candle fully completes burning.

Joya — Arsham Studio Exoplanet Scented Candle $500

The third most expensive candle that we found is not only a candle. Not only a piece of art. But an interactive experience. The creator of this design, Daniel Arsham, took inspiration from his time at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory to create this one-of-a-kind candle. This candle comes in two separate pieces which can fit together to form an exoplanet. Both sides can be filled up with the scented wax pelts that come along with it to form candles that are scented with the fragrance that is used in all his exhibitions around the world.

Richard Ginori — Totem $428

Here is another candle from the masters of luxury at Richard Ginori. This Italian-made candle comes in a porcelain vessel with a squirrel knob lid. Judging by the fragrance notes, the fragrance sounds quite complex. Like many of the other porcelain pieces on this list, it can obviously be used as a nice decoration after it’s done burning.

Gucci — Fumus Star Eye Candle $350

This candle, like a few others on this list, is enclosed in porcelain and can be used for decoration after it’s finished burning. The fragrance is supposed to resemble what an artisan’s Florentine workshop would have smelled like. The fragrance notes are birch with bright notes of orange leaves and beeswax.

Versace — Le Jardin de Versace $306

Versace candles? Yep, you can bet those are gonna be pretty pricey. This candle is contained in a porcelain vessel that is covered in the brand’s iconic prints. It has a burn time of around 60 hours so you can burn through your money fairly quickly with this one.

Jay Strongwater — Dragonfly Trellis Candle $395

Not only is this candle hand-crafted with trellis textured porcelain, it’s vessel also features 14K gold detailing, hand-set Swarovski crystals, and hand-enameled metal dragonfly detailing. The candle itself sounds pretty yummy as well.

L’Objet — Mojave Unicorn 4 Wick Candle $604

Show off how much money you have with this unicorn.. monster.. candle. It is a collaboration candle between L’ Objet and The Haas Brothers and is inspired by the Mojave desert in its fragrance. This white, porcelain, unicorn monster (is that what I’m supposed to call it?) has 24K gold accents as well. If that doesn’t say luxury, I don’t know what does.

Did any of these expensive candles catch your fancy?
