JavaScript, often abbreviated as JS, is a versatile programming language used in web development and beyond. One of its core features is functions, which are blocks of code designed to perform specific tasks or calculations. In this article, we’ll explore various types of functions in JavaScript and discuss their typical use cases with examples.

1. Function Declarations

function greet(name) {
return `Hello, ${name}!`;
}

Use Case: Function declarations are commonly used to define reusable code blocks that can be called multiple times throughout your program. They are hoisted, meaning they can be invoked before they are defined.

2. Function Expressions

const add = function (a, b) {
return a + b;
};

Use Case: Function expressions are similar to declarations but are defined within an expression. They are often used for creating anonymous functions or assigning functions to variables. Unlike declarations, they are not hoisted.

3. Arrow Functions (ES6)

const multiply = (a, b) => a * b;
