Compassion for aged people

There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days (the first 10 days of Thull Hijjah).

Islam is a complete conduct of life and in Islam kindness is a mark of faith, and whoever is not kind has no faith and the person who lack the kindness of heart lacks all good.

Be kind without expecting anything in return is a true way of helping others. An aged person in the picture is a diabetic patient and feels difficulty in walking. Last Sunday I was on a bike and saw that person walking on a road in a very difficult situation as his health not allows him to walk but to collect his medicine from a chemist he had to walk. When I saw him walking in a very miserable manner I offered him a lift and drop him to a chemist’s shop, after drooping him I realized that he also faced difficultly when going back to home, so I offered to drop him to his home back and he was so happy after listening this. On the same night, while I was in a market, I saw a poor person negotiating with a cab driver to reduce the amount of fair as he has to go to a far place but the driver is demanding high amount of fair and that poor person was unable to pay that amount. When I noticed the situation, I went there and looking at the condition of poor person I paid his fare and he was so happy with my this act of kindness and thanked to his God for sending an angel for him. After facing with both these situations I realized that to hear the unheard is the basic principle not in real life but also in professional life when you are working in a team and you are able to interpret the mind of your team leader then you will be most valuable team player in your team.

Showing kindness towards animals is also much emphasized in Islam. The temperature now days in our region reaches up to 40 degree. My mother always forced me to help others and this gave me an idea of helping animals wherever possible and in my roof at morning I placed a bowl having water in it and in another bowl I added porridge in it and after sometime when I go to roof I noticed that both bowls were empty. Similarly, in my backyard I put a shade on an empty place where pet animals in noon were gathered and take rest and it gave me lesson of understanding a situation of helping someone who has not the ability or having fear of saying something is really an art.

Art of helping others means that if you help someone from a right hand it should be so private that even your left hand is unaware of this good deed. I noticed the merit of this act by helping beggars in a way that before they asked me I helped them without their question and all of them were delighted by this act and in a team this act is also very helpful by means of helping a team member alone which helps him in overcoming the situation instead of criticizing him in front of all of his team members and in return he looses all of his self-respect.
