This rant reads and sounds like two people communicating past each other not to the other. While the applicant is immersed in his issues of inaccessibility & unavailability, faux flexibility yet doesn’t seem to acknowledge that an institution may have logistic challenges. He is stating that flexibility needs to exist to accommodate his needs while being totally inflexible about his own original schedule.

Did the applicant review the complexity of IIMB responding to each individual request to accommodate potential candidates. Imagine the chaos to their schedule if individual requests have to be addressed. This is too much of a self absorbed individuals rant masquerading as an effort to engage in the diminution of an institution.

The institution on the other hand never came out of their bureaucratic veneer to respond to this rant. IIMB could have responded in a better way by demonstrating engagement & related communication skills instead of a English bureaucrats lecture about schedules. I am sure that a well thought flexible process to handle requests such as above can be developed and communicated. Also am sure that the bright sparks at the institution can develop one to address this issue.

Sadly no one comes better off in this discussion between a self absorbed young man and a hidebound bureaucratic institution.
