MET Commissioner Dismissal!
The former Metropolitan Police Commissioner, David Lammy, has officially been removed from office.
The Home Secretary has confirmed that the process for a new Commissioner has begun and has listed a board of members to hire the new Commissioner.
People on the board are as follows: Home Secretary Alex Prousser, Prime Minister Lord Patterson of Windsor, Minister of State for the Home Office Edward F Reynolds, Minister of State for the Cabinet Office Stephen Hepworth, and finally Independent reviewer Haydon Murat.
In an official statement from the Home Secretary it stated that the former Commissioner was removed for the following: Breaching Equality and Diversity, Lack of Leadership, Lack of Communication with the Home Office, Bare minimum amount of officers in the force with no training, politicising the force, and bare minimum communication between MET leadership.
