Sometimes, your laptop display may reduce in size and also the battery isn’t charging even if it’s plugged in.

b. Repeat the above step ‘a’ until you achieve your desired goal — that is the dimmer the brightness, you will save more power.

4. Switch Off the Unused Ports

When you aren’t using any port, it is always better to switch it off. Your iLINK, USB, Optical Drive, Ethernet, and several other inputs use power to keep a standby state. Your laptop automatically detects the device when you insert it. But in case, you’re travelling on a flight or just watching movies and you know you aren’t using any of the ports, it is good to switch them off! Check how:

a. Go to the Control Panel, and select Mobile PC

g. From the column Running on Batteries put the iLINK, and built-in DVD/CD or any other type of input to Disable mode

5. Go from External Graphics card to Internal Graphics card*

More power is consumed by external GC (graphic card) rather than the internal graphics card. If an individual is surfing the Internet, pounding through electronics mails or taking or sending class notes, you do not require an external graphics card, or you can say dedicated GC (graphics card). Sound daunting, however? Switching between external and internal graphics card performance options is very simple and here’s the way:

a. Change your hardware switch from the Speed mode to Stamina mode

*this is available only in the selected models

6. Try to purchase a Large Capacity Sony VAIO Battery

If you want to know more about how to save VAIO battery life then try to purchase a Large Capacity VAIO Battery. You can buy this battery online as well as from any store. On average, one can increase the battery life roughly by 1.5 xs as compared to Standard Capacity VAIO Battery.
