Why Intolerance?

Through the entire history of humankind, there has been clashes of thoughts and interests. Everyone in this world is created different, having different way of looking at things and that’s the beauty of our world. Just imagine, how mundane our life would be, if every one of us thinks same, does same work, eats same food and so on. Diversity is the best thing which keeps us engaged and lively. But, still we always try to prove that, what I as person, or we as society/sect/religion/region/ country think or do is right. There is nothing wrong in believing in yourself. In fact, its very important for one’s self esteem. But, the problem comes, when we start to prove other wrong, or think ideas and deed of other person or group is inferior. That’s where the conflict arises.

All the wars in our history has roots in this same human behavior, and we have learned that. But, still today in this world, we are doing the same. Western world with democracy feels the liberalization and institute of democracy is the best concept and tries to push it to countries, where people are not ready for it yet. For their culture, thinking pattern it may not be the right one, but they want to be a big brother telling the world to follow them.

Same thing has been happening with religion. All the religions feel, they are superior to the other one, and teaches human beings who are intolerant of other one’s God. In words, they speak there is only one God who created entire world and us, but, then ask you to follow their rituals, their way of praising God and ridiculing every other one.

What we need at the moment is realization that, we are all created differently. Whether you believe evolutionary creation or not, it doesn’t make difference. Nothing in our world is supposed to be same and remain same forever. Except the world as it is. If you feel your thoughts and deeds are good and someone can benefit from it. Just speak and do your deed, but you don’t have any right to push him/her through any means (Proving him wrong, buying him, Punish him, or emotionally blackmail him)and accept your ideology. When as human beings we will accept this diversity and respect it, we will see less conflicts.
