Wil, I’m totally with you on this. As someone who has used her voice professionally (music and acting) it’s a lot more work than most people think.

More importantly, the conditions that the game companies are asking for are ridiculous. If they want to own you, they should contract directly with you and you should be able to command a salary that shows what you’re worth.

For those of you who feel that what Wil and other SAG/AFTRA members are asking for is out of line, look at it this way. If Wil and his colleagues don’t perform the roles in your favorite video games, other, less talented, actors will. So will people who just desperately want to be in video games. This means the quality of the video games that you play, and enjoy, will go drastically down. And yes, you will notice. Trust me.
