VR Will Break Museums

I agree with a lot of what you are saying. VR can provide context, make things interactive and exciting in a way a museum can’t. But for me it also depends what it is I am looking at. The first time I saw Renoir’s ‘Luncheon of a Boating Party’, I sat in front of it for a long time, transfixed. I had loved that image for a long time, seen a reproduction often. But for me to see the actual painting, the thing itself, was super special. I hope we keep museums where we can see the ‘actual’ thing.
